What “free” means here

On pngscan.com, free means you can download many transparent PNG files without paying a per-file fee for ordinary personal and many commercial creative uses — subject to the limits below and to third-party rights that may apply to the subject depicted in the image.

Free does not mean “this file is guaranteed free of every trademark claim in every country.” Popular characters, logos, and brand mascots often remain owned by someone else even when a transparent cutout is easy to find online.

You may generally

• Use downloads in personal projects: wallpapers, school work, hobby videos, personal social posts, fan edits for non-commercial sharing where your local law allows. • Use downloads in many commercial creative workflows: client websites, pitch decks, ads, packaging mockups, YouTube thumbnails, app UI prototypes — when you are using the graphic as a design element and you are not claiming ownership of a third-party brand. • Edit, crop, recolor, and composite files into larger designs. • Download again later if you need the same asset (availability can change if a file is removed for legal or quality reasons).

You may not

• Resell or redistribute the raw PNG files as a competing stock pack, bundle, or “PNG dump” product. • Claim you created the original trademarked character or logo depicted in a file you did not create. • Use brand or character artwork in a way that confuses people into thinking you are officially affiliated with the trademark owner when you are not. • Use the site’s download systems in abusive bulk ways that harm service for others (see Terms of Service). • Bypass technical protections or remove notices that are required by law where applicable.

Trademarks, characters, and logos

If a PNG clearly depicts a famous brand, game character, celebrity likeness, or protected logo, treat that subject as third-party IP. pngscan.com does not transfer those trademark or copyright ownership rights to you.

Fan-style and reference cutouts are common on the open web; that popularity does not equal a blanket commercial merchandising license from the rights holder. For merchandise you plan to sell at scale, official brand partnerships, or regulated industries, get proper clearance.

Attribution

We do not always require a mandatory on-design credit line for every free download. That said, linking back to pngscan.com or naming the site when it is practical is appreciated and helps other creators find clean transparent files.

If a specific page or rights holder requires attribution, follow that requirement. When you republish someone else’s original artwork that only happened to appear as a transparent file, respect the original author’s license if you know it.

Editorial and sensitive uses

Do not use downloads to harass people, create non-consensual deepfake-style abuse, spread scams, or imply false endorsements. Do not use medical, legal, or financial imagery in ways that mislead consumers about professional credentials.

No warranty on fitness

Files are provided as-is. Dimensions, color profiles, and edge quality vary. Always check the preview and file specs on the asset page before you rely on a graphic for print or a paid campaign.

Takedowns and changes

We may remove or restrict assets when we receive valid legal notices or when a file no longer meets our quality or compliance standards. A download you already have does not guarantee the same file will remain listed forever.
