DMCA & Copyright Notices

This page is for rights holders and authorized agents. If you believe material on pngscan.com infringes your copyright, send a complete notice to [email protected]. Incomplete notices cannot be actioned properly — and they slow down legitimate claims.

Our commitment

pngscan.com respects intellectual property. We provide a free transparent PNG discovery experience and we expect visitors to respect original authors and trademark owners as well.

When we receive a complete, good-faith copyright notice that identifies specific material on our site, we review it and take appropriate action. That may include removing or restricting access to the material at issue.

General support questions (downloads, licenses, partnerships) belong on the Contact page — not mixed into a DMCA subject line. Keeping legal notices separate helps us treat them with the seriousness they deserve.

Where to send a notice

Email: [email protected]

Subject line: start with “DMCA” or “Copyright notice” so the message is routed correctly.

Write from an address you monitor. If you are an attorney or agent, include the name of the rights holder you represent.

What a complete notice must include

To process a claim efficiently, your message should include all of the following:

1) Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (title, description, registration number if available, or a representative list if multiple works are covered). 2) Identification of the material on pngscan.com that you claim is infringing — include the exact URL(s) of the asset page(s) or other specific locations. “Everything about X” without URLs is not enough. 3) Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. 4) A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. 5) A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed. 6) Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name at the end of the email is commonly accepted for electronic notices).

If any of these elements are missing, we may ask you to complete the notice before we can act. That is not stalling — it is how we avoid removing the wrong content or acting on bad-faith claims.

What happens after you write

We review complete notices as promptly as we reasonably can. Complex cases or high volume can add time. If your matter has a court deadline, state the date clearly in the first sentence.

When appropriate, we may remove or disable access to the material, and we may notify the relevant uploader or source pathway where practical. We may also request clarification if URLs do not resolve or if the claim is ambiguous.

Submitting a knowingly false notice can have legal consequences under applicable law. Do not use the DMCA process to harass competitors or to target content you simply dislike.

Counter-notices (if applicable)

If material you uploaded or provided was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to [email protected] with “Counter-notice” in the subject line.

A useful counter-notice typically includes: identification of the removed material and its former location; your name, address, and phone; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court; and your signature.

We handle counter-notices in line with applicable law. Filing a counter-notice does not guarantee automatic restoration.

Trademarks and brand complaints

Copyright and trademark are not identical. If your concern is primarily trademark confusion (logos, brand names, official merchandise lookalikes) rather than copyright in a specific creative work, say so clearly and include the trademark details and the exact URLs on pngscan.com.

We still need precise page links. Blanket demands without URLs cannot be processed fairly.

Repeat infringement

pngscan.com may limit or terminate access for users or sources that repeatedly infringe intellectual property rights when we have actual knowledge of such patterns and a practical way to enforce limits.
